Start by creating a new setup

A new window will open on the right-hand side, with tabs labelled Setup, Stock, and Post-Process. The CNC work coordinate system defaults to Z-axis as the vertical axis; if that doesn’t match the way you wish to mill, you can change it here.

Switch to the Stock tab, and change the Mode to Fixed Size box. Measure the dimensions of your stock and change the width, depth, and height to match those of your stock.

If you want the bottom of your model to sit on the bottom of your stock, then change the model position under the Z axis to offset from the bottom, and change the offset to 0. Verify visually that the model bottom is now sitting on the stock bottom.

Setting Stock Point

Switch back to the Setup Tab, and the stock should now have these white circles on each corner and the midpoints. Select the bottom front left-hand corner and use that as the origin. The three axes of the origin should point in all the directions of the stock. This will become your stock point.
